Craps Rules - Craps Strategies - Best Online Craps Tips - Craps Betting Rules
Craps is a game where players either bet on the shooter making their point or not making their point. A player bets with the shooter when betting that the shooter makes their point, and against the shooter when betting that the shooter doesn?t make their point.
In a game of Craps, the shooter throws two dice from one end of the Craps table to the other. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, he or she makes their point. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12, he or she doesn?t make their point. If the shooter rolls any other number, it becomes the new point number.
The following sections further explain the different types of wagers that can be placed on a Craps table.

A Pass Line Bet - Craps Rules
A ?Pass Line? and a ?Don?t Pass Bar? are the simplest bets to place in a game of Craps. If a player chooses to bet with the shooter, a wager would be placed in the ?Pass Line? section of the table. If a player chooses to bet against the shooter, a wager would be placed in the ?Don?t Pass Bar? section of the table.
A simple Pass Line bet works like this: A player makes his or her bet on the Pass Line section of the table before a new roll by placing chips in the middle of the big band labeled PASS LINE. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, the player wins. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12, the player loses. If the shooter rolls any other number, that number becomes the new point number. If betting with the shooter, the player wants the shooter to roll that number again before a seven is rolled. If this happens, both the player and shooter win. If a 7 is rolled before the point number is rolled again, both the player and shooter lose.

A Pass Line with odds - Craps Rules
Depending on the house odds, a Pass Line combined with an odds bet can range anywhere between 1 to 100 times your original bet. A Pass Line bet with odds cannot be made on the first roll or without also placing a Pass Line bet, as it can only be made after the point is set. For example, if you were betting $10 on a Pass Line bet and the point got set at 5, you could put down an equivalent or larger bet just below your original wager. Simply place the chips half on and half off the bottom of the PASS LINE section of the table. If on the next roll a 5 is hit, you win your Pass Line bet and an additional sum of money from the odds bet. Most casinos have their odds published on the table.

What determines the casino?s payout rate on an odds bet is the actual number at which the point is set. For example, if the point is a 4 or a 10, the casino?s payout rate is 2:1. If the point is a 5 or a 9, the casino?s payout rate is 3:2, and if the point is a 6 or an 8, the casino?s payout rate is 6:5.
The Don?t Pass Bet - Craps Rules
The Don?t Pass bet is the exact opposite of the Pass Line bet. By placing a Don?t Pass bet, a player is betting against the shooter, and loses if a 7 or 11 is rolled. The player wins if a 2 or a 3 is rolled. 12 is considered neutral - nobody wins and nobody loses. If any other number is rolled it becomes the point. If a 7 is rolled before the point is repeated, the player wins.
The Come Bet - Craps Rules
The Come Bet is very similar to the Pass Line bet, however, a Come Bet is made after the point is set. For example, if the point was set at 5, a player decided to place a wager on the COME section of the table and a 7 or a 11 were rolled, the player would win and the shooter would lose. If a 2, 3, or 12 were rolled, the player would lose. If any other number is rolled, it becomes the ?come point?. If a ?come point? is rolled before a 7, the player wins.
For example, if a 9 was rolled after placing a Come Bet, the player?s wager would be moved to the 9 section of the table. If the shooter rolls a 9 before a 7, the player wins.
The Hardway Bet - Craps Rules
In Craps, the only Hardway Bets that exist are a hard 4, 6, 8, or 10. A hard 4 means the shooter rolls double 2s. A hard 6 means the shooter rolls double 3s, and so on. So, when a player makes a Hardway Bet, he or she is betting that the hard version of the number will be rolled before the soft version or a 7. A double 4 is a hard 8, but a 6 and a 2 is considered a soft 8.
The odds for a Hardway Bet vary from casino to casino but generally pay very high as the house has a very good advantage.

The Buy Bet - Craps Rules
If a player makes a Buy Bet, he or she is basically buying one or more of the following: a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. The Buy Bet is similar to the Place Bet in that the number a player buys must come up before a 7.
Proposition Bets - Craps Rules
Proposition Bets are the ones a player makes in the middle of the table and exist only on the 'next roll'. These bets include:
Any Seven
|
a player bets that the shooter rolls a 7
|
Snake Eyes
|
a player bets that the shooter rolls a 2
|
Yo Eleven
|
a player bets that the shooter rolls a 11
|
Any Craps
|
a player bets that the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12
|
Any Three
|
a player bets that the shooter rolls a 3
|
Midnight
|
a player bets that the shooter rolls a 12

Field Bets - Craps Betting Rules
The Field Bet is a very simple bet and can be made on any roll. A player makes a wager by placing his or her chips in the FIELD section of the table. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 the player wins. If the shooter rolls a 5, 6, 7, or 8 the player loses.
The Don?t Come Bet - Craps Betting Rules
The Don?t Come Bet is the exact opposite of the Come Bet and can only be made after a point is set by the shooter. If a 7 or 11 is rolled, the player loses. If a 2 or 3 is rolled, the player wins. Again, 12 is neutral - nobody wins and nobody loses. If any other number is rolled, it becomes the point. If a 7 is rolled before the point number is repeated, the player wins. If the point number is repeated before a 7 occurs, the player loses.

The Place Bet - Craps Betting Rules
A place bet can be made at any time by asking the dealer to make a Place Bet on a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. If that number is hit before a 7 is rolled, the player wins.

Online Gaming Future Developments
As the Internet is continuously changing, the next foreseeable step in the world of online gaming is expected to coincide with the developments in interactive television and wireless communication. Interactive television, also known as webTV or msnTV, allows people to surf the Internet from a regular television. By connecting through a regular dial-up receiver, users can enjoy unlimited Internet access. Although webTV is still in its early days of development, it is very popular among people who do not have or want a computer.
Due to the fact that a receiver is unable to save casino software, interactive television limits many online casino players. Gamers are limited to casinos that offer no-download games. Apart from the fact that webTV receivers are unable to save software, they are also unable to handle Java applications, thus further limiting gaming options. Today, games that run using Shockwave Flash or HTML are the only viable alternatives available to interactive TV gamers.
Many online casinos offer a variety of Flash and HTML games. The Flash casinos offer amazing graphics and superior game quality. Microgaming, a leading casino software provider, produces many excellent Flash and games; the Viper Software is excellent, you can play for real money, transactions are secure, and they offer progressive jackpots.
With the widespread use of PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant) and smart phones, the wireless world is upon us and is expected to eclipse sometime around 2007. Now you can send email, surf the Internet and chat with a wireless connection and a PDA.
Smart streaming technology is taking online gaming to an entirely new arena. After testing the software we know you won?t be disappointed. The graphics are excellent, the speed is amazingly fast, and all transactions are secure.
You may be asking yourself: How do I start playing on my PDA? It is really very easy. All you need is wireless Internet access to download the software and you are ready to play! The Complete Casino Directory recommends www.intertops.com for wireless sportsbook and casino gaming.
